I wonder why we never noticed before,
that we were never similar in any interpretation of the word,
we had kept our hearts in different hemispheres-
and even the constellations, were made of different patterns.

Nothing ever seemed to come together easily-
and I wondered maybe we were not continents.
Separated by whales, waves, and sea anemones-
but different galaxies altogether.

Maybe it was our conflicting astrological signs-
and Venus and Jupiter never aligned properly.
If we had parted as enemies, or friends,
would I still be looking so hard for something to blame?
